C. ANNUAL ORGANIZATIONAL APPOINTMENTS (Action)

Approval for the 2024-2025 school year as presented:

  1. Designate Clerk (Candice Head)

  2. Designate Deputy Clerk (Corri McDowell)

  3. Designate Treasurer (Stacy Milford)

  4. Adopt Integrity Bank as the official depository for school district funds- K.S.A. 9-1401

  5. Designate the Meade County News as the official newspaper- K.S.A.64-101 et.seq

  6. Adopt 1,116-hour school year- K.S.A. 72-3115

  7.  Designate truancy officers for school year:   Corri McDowell for Grade School-  K.S.A. 72-3121

  8. Appoint Corri McDowell as food service hearing official

  9. Appoint Candice Head as food service authorized representative; food service authorized signers and claim contacts

  10. Appoint Candice Head as determining official for free and reduced meal applications

  11. Appoint Candice Head as district KPERS representative

  12. Appoint KASB Legal Assistants as school attorney

  13. Establish mileage rate same as State established rate for reimbursement (Currently: $0.67) K.S.A. 75-3203

  14. Adopt early payment request policy (Permission to pay bills that have a penalty or deductions for early payment KSA 12-105(e)

  15. Designate Candice Head as Jr/Sr High Activity Fund  K.S.A. 72-8208a

  17. Appoint Corri McDowell as compliance coordinator for Title VI, Title VII, Title IX

  24. Approve High School Activity Fund resolution requesting exemption from K.S.A. 12-105(b) (Uniform procedure for payment of claims, presentment of claims, payments in advance of approval)

  25. Approve Grade School Activity Fund resolution requesting exemption from K.S.A. 12-105(b)

  26. Approve Candice Head as the Freedom of Information Officer

  27. Resolution to establish Home Rule by Board of Education

  28. Resolution authorizing destruction of old records K.S.A. 72-5369

  29. Approve Section 125 Flexible Benefit Plan provider as American Fidelity

  30. Approve Meade County Health Department for school health services

  31. Resolution to establish the second Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Fowler Grade School as the official meeting time and location of the Board of Education- K.S.A. 72-1138

F. EXECUTIVE SESSION

Motion: Mr. President, I move we go into Executive Session to discuss confidential data relating to financial affairs or trade secrets of corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individual proprietorships.

Motion: Mr. President, I move we go into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel in order to protect the privacy interest of the individual(s) to be discussed, pursuant to non-elected personnel exception under Kansas Open Meetings Act.
