USD #225 Board of Education Meeting
October 2, 2019, 6 p.m.
Call to order: Barb Whitney, President, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Members present: Barb Whitney, Fred Boyd, Ed Rarden, and Tom Huelskamp were present. Others present were Jeff Bollinger, Superintendent, Corri McDowell, Principal, and Valerie Crone, Deputy Board Clerk. Richie Dewell and Jamie Boese were not present.
Recognition of Visitors/Communication: Kim McLachlan, Bryan Branstine, and Jennifer Faurot
Coaching Interviews:
Executive Session: A motion was made by Huelskamp, seconded by Boyd to enter into executive session for 50 minutes to discuss personnel matters of nonelected personnel. The session is required to protect the privacy interest of the individual(s) to be discussed. Motion carried 4-0. 6:01 p.m.
Jennifer Faurot enters executive session at 6:02 p.m., exits executive session at 6:15 p.m.
Bryan Branstine enters executive session at 6:16 p.m., exits executive session at 6:27 p.m.
Alex Granados arrives at 6:40 p.m.
Alex Granados enters executive session at 6:43 p.m., exits 6:51 p.m.
Huelskamp moved, seconded by Boyd to go into executive session for 10 minutes. Motion carried 4-0. 6:52 p.m.
Huelskamp moved, seconded by Boyd to accept Alex Granados as Head HS Track Coach. Motion carried 4-0.
Boyd moved, seconded by Rarden to accept Jennifer Faurot as Head JH Track Coach. Motion carried 4-0.
Rarden moved, seconded by Huelskamp to accept Bryan Branstine as Head HS Girls Basketball Coach. Motion carried 4-0.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Huelskamp, seconded by Boyd to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 4-0. Time: 7:14 p.m.
