USD #225 Board of Education Meeting
August 10, 2020, 7:00 P.M.
Call to order: T.J. Milford, Board President, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance was recited and Corri McDowell led in prayer.
Members present: Fred Boyd, Ed Rarden, Kimberly Copenhaver, Cathy Heinz, Tom Huelskamp, and T.J. Milford were present. Others present were Cherie Nicholson, Superintendent, Corri McDowell, Principal, and Erica Rarden, Board Clerk.
Recognition of Visitors/Communication: Kim McLachlan, Emily Dizmang, Charlie Littlewood, Jared Weber, Debbie Wise, Jessica Ackerman, Luke Ackerman, and Zach McLachlan.
New Member: Jared Weber was sworn in as a new member.
Approve Consent Agenda: Huelskamp moved, seconded by Boyd to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried 7-0.

DISCUSSION
Roof Repairs: Discussion was held. Item was tabled until September meeting.
Remote Learning Option: Huelskamp moved, seconded by Copenhaver to accept the remote learning plan as presented for the 2020-2021 school year. Motion carried 7-0.
Anonymous Donation for Football: Rarden moved, seconded by Huelskamp to accept the anonymous donation for new high school football jerseys. Motion carried 7-0.
Budget Hearing: A budget hearing will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
PERSONNEL
Instructional Aide: Heinz moved, seconded by Huelskamp to hire Cheryl Dizmang as an instructional aide for the 2020-2021 school year. Motion carried 7-0.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Copenhaver moved, seconded by Milford to go into executive session for 30 minutes to discuss non-elected personnel under KOMA, board and superintendent. This session is required to protect the privacy interests of the individual(s) to be discussed. Motion carried 7-0. 08:09 p.m.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Milford, seconded by Heinz to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 7-0. Time: 8:44 p.m.
