Regular Board Of Education Meeting
High School Library, Monday January 9, 2017 7 p.m.
Call to order: Tim Milford, President, called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance was recited and Milford led in prayer.
Members present: Mark Bergkamp, Tim Milford, Jamie Boese and Barb Whitney, Dave Snook and Richie Dewell were present. Others present were Corrie McDowell, Principal, Jeff Bollinger, Superintendent, Paula Kay Watson, Board Clerk.
Recognition of Visitors/Communication: Tammy Bollinger, Kat Market, Kim Copenhaver, Debbie Wise and Annette Keith
Approve Consent Agenda: Bergkamp moved, seconded by Whitney to approve the minutes and accounts payable as presented. Motion carried 6-0.
Reports:
Principal: Mrs. McDowell gave her report
Economic Development, Jamie Boese, representative, gave her report
Special Education, Tim Milford, representative, gave his report
A+ Network, Steve Lundeen, representative, was absent, no report
Superintendent: Mr. Bollinger gave his report
Action
Rosetta Stone: Tabled until next meeting.
United Wireless: Snook moved to purchase Internet from United Wireless for $1,500 per month. Whitney seconded. Motion carried 6-0.
Bus/Suburban: Dewell moved, seconded by Bergkamp to purchase a 14 passenger bus for $55,250 from Master’s Transportation from the state bid list so no bids were required. Motion carried 6-0.
Tammy Bollinger left the meeting at 8:16 p.m.
Saxon K-5: Whitney moved to purchase Saxon Math for K-5th Grade, Boese seconded. Motion carried 6-0.
Standards Based Assessment K-5: Bergkamp moved and Boese seconded to use the Standards Based Assessment for K-5th grade starting with the 2017-2018 school year. Motion carried 6-0.
Executive Session: Bergkamp moved and seconded by Whitney to go into executive session for 10 minutes. Motion carried 6-0. 9:02 p.m.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Dewell, seconded by Boese to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 6-0. Time: 9:13 p.m.
