USD #225 Board of Education Meeting
December 4, 2017, 7 p.m.
Call to order: Barb Whitney, President, called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance was recited and Lundeen led in prayer.
Members present: Barb Whitney, Dave Snook, Richie Dewell, Jamie Boese, Fred Boyd, Steve Lundeen and Mark Bergkamp were present. Others present were Corri McDowell, Principal, Jeff Bollinger, Superintendent, Paula Kay Watson, Board Clerk.
Recognition of Visitors/Communication: Visitors present, Debbie Wise and Seth Hageman.
Approve Consent Agenda: Snook moved, seconded by Boyd to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried 7-0.
REPORTS Principal: Mrs. McDowell her report.
Economic Development, Jamie Boese, representative, said they wouldn't’t have a meeting until January.
Special Education, Will need a rep in January
Superintendent, Mr. Bollinger gave his report.
PURCHASES
Rosetta Stone: Boese moved to purchase a 2-year agreement for Rosetta Stone for $17,638. Snook seconded. Motion carried 7-0.
Vehicle-Suburban: A motion was made by Lundeen to purchase a suburban (state-bid) from Don Hatten out of Contingency Reserve. Seconded by Bergkamp. Motion carried 7-0.
High School Office Remodel: Snook moved and Boese seconded to approve remodeling the High School Office Wall. Motion carried 7-0.
PERSONNEL
Track Coaches: Bergkamp moved and seconded by Lundeen to hire Cheyenne Federau as the High School Track Coach for the Spring 2018 season and Troy Bland and Taylor Bollinger as the Junior High Track Coaches.
Motion carried 7-0.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Snook, seconded by Lundeen to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried Motion carried 7-0. Time: 8:01 p.m.
