Summary of School Issued Student Device Policy:
Our school uses devices in a limited and purposeful way to support learning—not replace teaching.
What this means for your child:
- Screen time is kept short and age-appropriate
- Focus stays on reading, math, hands-on learning, and social skills
- Devices are mainly used for testing, extra support, and enrichment
Daily Limits:
- PreK–K: Up to 30 minutes
- Grades 1–2: Up to 40 minutes
- Grades 3–6: 45–60 minutes
In the Classroom:
- Teachers prioritize direct instruction and hands-on activities first
- Device use is always planned and connected to learning goals
Additional Notes:
- Teachers and administrators monitor usage closely
- Students with learning plans may have adjusted use as needed
Our goal: Use technology to enhance learning while keeping students engaged, active, and interacting with others.
