Contact your legislators to fully fund Special Education

Did You Know:

The State of Kansas is required to fund Special Education costs to school districts at 92%.

Currently, Kansas funds it 72%.

Due to the shortfall in funding, districts must use local tax revenues to make up the differences.

Your local property taxes are used to the cover Special Education expenses ( 25%)

The State of Kansas needs to fully fund Special Education to reduce the local tax burden.

Contact Senator Ron Ryckman at ron.ryckman@senateks.gov and Representative Gary White at gary.white@house.ks.gov and urge them to fully fund Special Education.
